When you buy a new computer, you can install CompanionLink on it. The competitors products only install on one computer. You can install it on up to three computers work, home and laptop. That means changes from your phone get to Outlook in seconds, not minutes. Automatic Push SyncĬompanionLink for Google is the only Google Sync tool that supports Google Calendar V3 Automatic Push Sync. MICROSOFT: It's not about blaming anyone.Compared to the Competition Easier to set upĬompanionLink for Google is easier to set up than any competing product. Plus, changing email addresses can be as bad as trying to get everyone your new phone number or physical address when it changes. I probably would have (and did try once) used an Īddress but have always found that Microsoft's spam/junk mail filtering was not nearly as good as Google's in my personal opinion. I really miss not having all the other powerful tools that I used to use in the desktop version of Outlook, and it really takes away from the value of keeping up my Office365 Home subscription.

Yes, 2-way syncing of mail, calendar and contacts from my gmail account to the Windows 10 mail/calendar/contacts apps.

I've been stuck using Windows10 mail/calendar for years now because Outlook 2016 STILL doesn't sync with free gmail accounts. Funny thing tho, deleting a date in Mail that was synced from Google will also delete it in Google. It does? In Win it will not sync from the mail app to Google. Why does the Windows mail app have two-way calendar sync with Google, yet and Outlook 2016 do not? Makes no sense to me and I don't have the flexibility of using or Outlook 2016 as my company uses Google. I have no affiliation with eM Client other than I'm a paid user. Maybe someday they'll see the light or just buy eM client and rename it Outlook 2017 for Windows 10! And I would much rather haveĬustomers using some of my products vs none of my products, which is the current case with me with respect to Outlook. It's clearly not a technical issue, as eM Client has solved it completely and without the use of add-ins and third party services. I honestly don't understand why MSFT is so unwilling to incorporate real-time sync with Gmail. For someone who does most of their work from a desktop environment, em Client solved my dilema.

The eM Client interface will be extremely familiar to Outlook 2016 users, with a number of significant improvements: 1) real-time, bi-directional sync with Google calendar Ģ) built-in contact and email de-duplicator and 3) integrated chat. I'm using now is eM Client, a desktop mail/calendar/contact/chat client for Windows 10. I'm forced to use Google calendar (personal version) for work-related scheduling, but prefer and/or Outlook 2016 desktop client.

This is still one of the glaring weaknesses of Outlook 2016 and all Microsoft mail/calendar clients.
